Man pleads guilty to November murder, gets life | Crime
JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Jackson man has pleaded guilty to a November murder Thursday.
Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith says 48-year-old David Jenkins pleaded guilty to the shooting death of 46-year-old Carl Green.
Jenkins was immediately sentenced to life in prison.
Police say in November Jenkins shot Green in the head because he was upset over Green flirting with a woman. Officers found Green's body in the 300 block of Fortification Street.
Jenkins left the scene but later turned himself in to police.
