In recognition of National Infant Immunization Week, the Mississippi State Department of Health is offering free routine immunizations for infants and children through 18 years of age at all county health departments the week of April 22-26.
Vaccinations in this promotion include protection for infants, children and adolescents against the following diseases:

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Monday, the Mississippi Department of Health reported 13 new human West Nile virus cases, including one in Hinds County. Twenty-four human cases of West Nile virus have been reported in Hinds County so far this year.
Across the state, a record 213 cases of West Nile virus and five deaths have been reported this year.
JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Monday, the Mississippi Department of Health reported 17 new human West Nile virus cases, including three in Hinds County. Twenty-two cases of WNV have been reported in Hinds County this year.
So far this year, 186 cases of West Nile virus and four deaths have been reported in the state.

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Thursday, the Mississippi Department of Health reported the state's second West Nile virus death of the year and nine new human cases of the virus, including two in Hinds County.
The death occured in Lincoln County, according to the department of health.
So far this year, 85 cases of West Nile virus have been reported. Hinds County has 12 total reported cases.
