JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Mississippi College announced Tuesday former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will speak at the college in March.
Bush, the younger brother of former President George W. Bush, will be the keynote speaker at the college's spring scholarship dinner at 6:30 p.m. on March 26.
Jeb Bush pushed for public education reform, including charter schools, during his time as Florida's governor from 1999 to 2007, according to a press release from Mississippi College.
Last spring, former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice spoke at the scholarship banquet and helped raise $333,000 for student scholarships at the event.
Tickets for the banquet are $200 per person. For more information on Jeb Bush's visit and the scholarship dinner, visit the Mississippi College website.
