Pet of the Week: Sunny the yorkiepoo | Pets

Friday is National Puppy Day and it's the perfect time to meet this week’s Pet of the Week Sunny.

She is a 10-month-old yorkiepoo who was given up by her owner and taken to Community Animal Rescue & Adoption, a no-kill animal rescue in Jackson.

If you are interested in adopting Sunny or another pet at CARA, complete the dog application form.

Pets and representatives from CARA will be at the PetSmart store off Interstate 55 in Jackson Saturday from 11-2 p.m.

CARA is in immediate need of dry dog food and 13 and 55 gallon garbage bags. If you can donate any items, please take them to the shelter, located at 960 N. Flag Chapel Road, or to a drop off location:
