Papa Jordan’s famous pimento cheese sandwiches were the talk of Olde Towne as a new café in Clinton’s historic district opened its doors.

The “soft” opening of Pimento’s Café on Tuesday attracted a crowd of hungry Mississippi College folks and Clinton city leaders who relished the cozy restaurant’s family atmosphere as well.

Hundreds of friends and family attended the 10 a.m. service at the Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church on Siwell Road in Byram.

CLINTON — Traditional party foods can be high in calories, fat, sugar and salt.

To provide a healthier option at school parties and events, the Clinton Public School District’s Child Nutrition Department is now offering catering services to parent groups for school-sanctioned parties and events.
