Clinton High School has hired a new head football coach.
Judd Boswell has been head coach at Forest High School since 2005, according to a press release from the Clinton Public School District.
Under Boswell's leadership, Forest had an undefeated season and state championship in 2010. He holds a 71-22 career record, and has led Forest to championship seasons every year since 2007, according to the release.
Boswell will replace head coach Scott Brown who announced in February he would be leaving the district after 16 years. Brown was head coach at Clinton for seven years and had a 51-26 record.
The school district says Boswell will transition to the new position “as soon as possible.”
Prior to serving as head football coach at Forest, Boswell served as the school’s defensive coordinator for three years. Before that he was defensive coordinator at Newton High School and Winston Academy.
Boswell will be formally announced at a press conference at the high school Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.
